Anthony Ray Vaughn was born on April 8, 1985, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Vernon Ray Vaughn and Donna Kay Lewis. Anthony entered into eternal rest on February 21, 2026. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Ray Vaughn, and his brother, Bobby Ray Vaughn.
During his time here on earth, Anthony touched the hearts of many people. He began working as a cook at the young age of 15 and quickly became known as a “top-notch cook,” developing a passion for preparing meals that brought comfort and joy to those around him. Anthony also had a unique sense of humor and loved making people laugh with his unforgettable jokes and lively personality.
As an adult, he worked in construction remodeling bathrooms for Jacuzzi Spa, where he was known for his skilled craftsmanship and dedication to his work. Anthony also had a pure and genuine love for animals. He cared for them so deeply that he transformed his backyard into a small farm, sharing his love and care with every animal he welcomed.
Anthony had a heart of gold and a personality like no other. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his mother, earning the nickname “Mama’s Little Hero.” His siblings gave him this name after he walked miles to help her when her car broke down on the side of the road. He truly enjoyed life and cherished every moment spent with family and friends.
In loving memory, Anthony leaves to cherish his mother, Donna Kay Lewis; his five children: Michelle, Anthony, Jeremiah, Aniah, and Jovan; his bonus children: Elishiah, Jerome, Dionee, and Christian; and his devoted girlfriend, Brandee, who was truly his rock.
He also leaves behind his 13 sisters: Christina, Catrina, Calicia, Marilu, Cheryl, Mona, Sharmaine, Cynthia, Angel, Leslie, Rosie, Brenda, and Donna; his sister-in-law, Rachel; his 5 brothers: Eddie Ray, Poncho, Raymond, Eli, and Bruno; his beloved Aunt Darlene; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.
Anthony will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Though he is no longer with us in body, his love, laughter, and generous spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
